KVS RO Patna
Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Patna Region, headquartered at Patna, the capital of the state of Bihar is mandated to oversee the functioning of the KVs in the state of Bihar. At present, forty nine (plus four second shifts) KVs are functioning under its jurisdiction.
KVS Patna Region came into existence in the year 1970. Earlier it was known as the Eastern Region which included Guwahati Region, Silchar Region, Calcutta Region & Bhubaneswar Region. Earlier it was running in the temporary building. After a lot of efforts taken by Sh. S Modawal the then Assistant Commissioner (now the post is known as the Deputy Commissioner) of Patna Region shifted to its own building in the year 2000.
Patna Region is one of the Regions of the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan out of 25 Regions. Patna Region covers all Kendriya Vidyalayas of Bihar State. Patna Region has 49 schools in First Shift and 04 Schools in Second Shift. These Schools are managed and looked after by the three Assistant commissioners under the guidance of the Deputy Commissioner. The Primary aim of the Patna Region is to fulfil/achieve targets of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan as per the guidelines provided by the authority of the KVS Headquarters and to produce better results in every sphere including all round development of the students.
